WorldStrides is pleased to announce exciting scholarships that will help you fund your travel program.
Please read the information below to learn more about several of the funding options that are currently available.
UPDATED 10/15/2008: WorldStrides is pleased to announce an additional $250,000 in FLAG Scholarship funding, creating a total of $450,000 in FLAG Scholarships for 2008-2009 travelers! Since May 2008, over 680 families have received help with their trip financing through the FLAG Scholarship.
We will offer these need-based scholarships for students participating in WorldStrides programs in the 2008-2009 academic year. FLAG Scholarships will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in amounts up to $400 to students with demonstrated financial need, good academic standing, and a genuine interest in social studies, government, science, or American History.

The Student Youth Travel Association (SYTA) also offers need and merit-based scholarships for student travel. Teachers can apply on the behalf of individuals or a group of students to earn upwards of $1,000 at www.sytayouthfoundation.org.
The Gift of Education is an easy fundraising strategy in which students send letters requesting small donations to friends, family members, and local organizations to help fund their educational program. Students can find customizable letter templates here
